Some comments on the ride...

Good ride everyone. I hope everyone made it home okay. I got 30 minutes of hard rain on I10.

Helen

Great Ride - except the red & blue light show. Gail & I took a chance on the weather this morning & did the Alpine-Springerville-Show Low - Globe route home.  Rain for about 10 minutes in Upper Oro Valley. Gail had large smiles on her face most of the weekend because of the many twisties on the routes we chose. East of Show Low, I neglected to slow to 55 for the AZ-61 cutoff and a state trooper pulled us over.  He only wrote me up (71 in 55) but made it a "waste of finite resources" citation for $80.  Considering the number of times that we passed on double yellow lines and the speeds that "some of us" (Helen) were doing at times, that citation is a "cost of doing business". Michael:  How is your recovery progressing?  Were the Advil helpful?

Mel

I even had a great time despite the war wounds.  Better already. Thanks for caring and thanks for a great weekend.

Mike Holmes

Had great time.  Loved 191 & glad no cops.   Will visit SEAT website more often.   Ride safe

Steve

I liked the ride, sorry about the rain y'all got, keep me in mind for more rides.

Bill

Sorry I got lost. Will keep better in touch next time. Had a great time riding and camping. Didn't have any rain after what we had Friday. Found a small fuel leak on the RT and decided to beat it back to Tucson. Left 9am our time and arrived home about 2 by way of Lordsburg. I did have to stop at Apple Annie's for a piece of pie! No problems or rain, good ride.
The RT is going back to Iron Horse for the same fuel leak they repaired last year. Seems to be an ongoing problem that BMW of Denver tried to repair also. Back on the Honda until that problem is resolved for good.
Will send you some more ride pics.

Len Robbins, John Willmann, and Susan O'Brian took the newly paved Three Forks Road west from Alpine, leading into #273; #260; #73 (Fort Apache); then 60 through the Salt River Canyon to Globe.  Staying in the rim country, it was actually cool/cold with an occasional slight sprinkle.  Riding down from Globe, it got really humid/hot around Dudleyville, then we entered overcast skies and some welcomed relief from the heat.  We "threaded the needle" with the isolated storms all day, brushing against a couple, but not getting into any heavy downpours.  It was truly a great day of riding.  Home about 3:15

Had a fun ride home from Safford. Rained pretty hard from Wilcox to Benson. But, was dry by the time I got home.

Ron S

Fun ride with everyone. Let's do it again.

Ron

What rain? After leaving my house Friday morning in the rain I was ready for more. It was dry by the time I arrived at the meet-up point. A little more rain near Benson and Texas canyon and that was it ! Planning on camping at the Silver City KOA rain was a concern all for naught. After our great dinner I returned to my site to sit under a starry night. Wish I could have followed the group but I was nursing a fuel leak on my RT and decided to get back to Tucson by way of Lordsburg and I10. Clouds off in the distance but never got into any more rain. Turns out I was a "happy camper"!

The RT is going back to Iron Horse for the same fuel leak I had last year, an ongoing problem. Enjoyed meeting the group and looking forward to more rides. Any campers out there?

Bob

Thanks for the great ride and company. I Rode with Mike thru Lordsburg no rain.
