†††† Bikes began pulling in around 9:45.† Between 10 am and 3 pm the bikes came and went as more than 100 SEAT members and guests dropped by to enjoy the comradery of fellow motorcyclists.† And, thanks to the generosity of so many folks, just about everyone got a present from Santa.† Some really nice gifts, for sure.
†††† Dick Manning came by Saturday morning with the SEAT Christmas cake.† Itís a great tradition Dick, we appreciate it.† Already looking forward to next year.
†††† This year we recognized a bunch of SEAT members who helped out the club in various ways by giving them a SEAT coffee cup.† Much more functional than a paper certificate.† Really sharp cups, we appreciate your help.
†††† This year the 50/50 drawing brought in $256.† The big winner was Steve Mossholder.† Just joins and wins $128.† Not bad!
†††† We had two exceptional raffle items this year.† Cliff Allison of Cochise Motorsports donated a FirstGear Mach II leather jacket, and it was size XL, too!† Kari Pelton was the lucky winner.† Might fit Ron a bit better, though.
†††† Don Cameron received a complete AutoCom intercom set from Deming Cycles.† With all the attachments, power supplies and who knows what, the set had a retail value of over $1,200.† Audrey Hambleton had the winning ticket.† Jim will now have the pleasure of Audreyís sweet voice in his helmet as they ride down the road.
†††† $260 went into the SEAT bank account thanks to all who bought raffle tickets.† Until the next round of printer supplies, we actually have a bank account with more than nickels and dimes in it.† Even with the price of stamps going up, it looks like we will get by another year without raising the dues.† Wonderful.† Thanks guys!
†††† John Cartwright III, owner and manager of Iron Horse Motorcycles, came through just like he said he would with some great door prizes.† Jim Strang came down and accepted a kewl SEAT coffee cup for John and the guys at Iron Horse.† Big thanks for your support.
†††† It took two tables and the entire kitchen to hold all the extraordinary dishes.† The desserts were too good to be true.† We ate our fill, thatís for sure!
†††† There are just too many pictures to put them all in the newsletter.† Itís the members who make the club what it is.† Surf over to the outstanding SEAT web site that Craig Littlefield does for us (www.SEATRider.com) and check out all the pictures.
†††† 2005 will be behind us by the time you read this.† Time flies.† Its January already and the Death Valley Daze ride is upon us.† Donít forget the SEAT overnighter (June 9th to the 11th in Alpine, AZ this year) is just 5 months away.† Wanda and I hope all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
