SEAT Overnighter at Alpine AZ

 June 2006

What a turn out of SEAT members!  The weather was super up in the forest, cool riding with a bit of cloud cover.  A couple of folks got a bit of rain south of Alpine.  Must have been nice.  A perfect day to tackle the Coronado Trail!

The Sportsman’s Lodge and the Alpine Cabins were fully booked by SEAT members.  The Mountain Hi Lodge took the overflow.  Good thing they still had rooms.

Dinner was really great with all the SEAT members there.  We really filled the place.  The door prizes, 50/50 drawing, and the Sexy Auction were a hoot!

Big, big thanks to Iron Horse Motorcycles in Tucson and Cochise Motorsports in Sierra Vista for the most excellent door prizes.  Be sure to thank them the next time you visit them.  They really do support us.  Thanks guys!

Another round of applause to Bev Grosh for doing the 50/50 tickets; and Sioux Prince for door prize tickets and helping do the ticket drawing.  Nice job ladies!

Diane Moore out bid Deb Josselyn for the cutest little Frederick’s of Hollywood teddy.  The 50/50 was won by Butch Smith…$60.00, not bad.  It was a great time for all!

Member’s present:  Gail Ben-Jamin, Ed Birch, Gary Blomstrom & Deborah Josselyn, Don Cameron, Neal & Nancy Clark, Louis & Kathy Coin, Dave Delie, Patrick & Danese Dykes, Bill Getter, Jim & Audrey Hambleton, Paul Hargis, Frank Hay, Bill Leach, Mike LoGalbo, Menachem Lorber, Deryle & Wanda Mehrten, Allen & Diane Moore, Leo Nozicka, Bob Ordway, Thomas & Artemisa Palmer, Ron & Kari Pelton, Dick & Sioux Prince, Bob Ramig, Joe Russo, Bryan Seneviratne, Butch Smith & Bev Grosh, Alan Speert, Barry West, John Willmann.  Guests:  Herb Suessenbach, Alex Scanlon.

Next year its Springerville.  We have already contacted a local Brewery, the Wilde Weede Brewery and Lil Rangler’s Cafe.  They are within walking distance from the Rode Inn and look forward to seeing us.  They can seat 140 so we shouldn’t have any problem getting everyone in.  With the number of rooms at the Rode Inn, we can all stay in one place.  Can you tell we are looking forward to it!

July’s lunch is at the Coyote Grill in Green Valley at the San Ignacio Golf Club at 11:00 am.  See you there!
