RRiding the Mogollon Rim

Fellow SEAT members, here are a few shots from my recent trip.  The fun started just north of Payson, and proceeded east along the Mogollon Rim into New Mexico, ending up in the Aldo Leopold Wilderness area just northeast of Silver City.

This was the maiden long distance/overnighter trip for the new GSA, and it performed flawlessly.  The journey was three days long, and although it covered only 865 miles in total, about 350 miles were Forest Service roads.  Some of the FS roads were very easy going, others were 1st gear only, creeping along at 5 to 10 miles an hour.   The variety of terrain, the unspoiled wilderness, and wildlife were fantastic.
